this is my 20D sensor with all them dust particles. The big spot on the upper left of the picture can be visible as a soft spot on pictures with clear backgrounds. However, having read enough horror stories related to sensor cleaning (e.g. at http://www.dpreview.com/forums), I am going to leave things as they are.
