If you see...

...more police than "ordinary people", what do you call the situation? Me knows not, but this is what downtown Toronto, specially around Union Station looks like, with police everywhere, fences going through middle of roads, marked and unmarked police cars visible everywhere. Idiocy in the name of security is a universal phenomenon, it seems. Supposed to be like this apparently till Sunday.

UPDATE: The story here tells how a law was secretly passed to give police in Toronto extra powers. And who asked for the powers? According to story, none other than the police chief!
