An interesting...

...article (in German) about a politician of Turkish origin who is to be made a minister of a regional government in Germany. Her problem: "A model immigrant who has her own opinion". Read it here.

Apparently Chrome browser tries to recognize the language on the webpage, correctly recognizing it as German, and offers me a translation in English, which is pretty readable. The language recognition is not always right. Whenever I open the webpage of an Urdu newspaper that I regularly read, the language is wrongly recognized as Arabic. Initially, for a few days, it was recognized as Persian.

Finished reading...

...2 books in the past some time: Sarah from Alaska, and Richard Dawkins' "The Greatest Show on Earth, The Evidence for Evolution".

The former is relatively short, and interesting, highlighting Sarah Palin's quick rise in politics from relative obscurity. The latter is really interesting, and presents the case for evolution very logically. However, since it is written as a rebuttal to those who don't believe in evolution, the tone is unnecessarily aggressive. Overall, if someone wants to to build a case against evolution, it would have to be as convincing as this book is.
