Yesterday's hockey...

...world cup final was truly good to watch. Between Australia and Germany, I had thought that Australia would comfortably win, specially when they had gone 2-1 up, and the German team was left in a disarray. But it was really amazing to see how well the German team played, and their last two goals were also wonderful.
The Pakistani team quite deservingly got 7th position. It will be however in the Champions Tropy to be played in Lahore next year, which should be good fun. I remember having watched quite a few matches in the hockey stadium in Lahore during my school years.

...Internet Explorer 7 today, and I am kind of regretting it. I was pretty comfortable with IE6, which also had tabs enabled, but on a whim, I thought about trying IE7. However, somehow the new browser renders very strange on the screen. Plus the text is strange. I tried different combinations of text size and fonts, but its still strange. Plus even though this version is a RC1, its not so stable. The back and forward buttons are at the very top, and I haven't been able to figure out how to move them down. Now th e menus are below the address bar and the forward backward buttons.
However, I think that I'll stick with this version now, rather than disturbing anything else now.

...that Steve Irwin, known better as the Crocodile Hunter, has died filming underwater. I have seen a number of episodes of his TV program.
