Loosing your camera...

...can be bad enough. But losing it in space...???

Some weeks...

...ago I finally finished reading Robert Fisk's book that I had started in October. Its an immense book, and choke full of death and misery. Still, not to be missed.

I have only...

...had intermittent access to my blogger account. Somehow the connection always times out. I don't know what could be the reason for this, but it sure is preventing me to post anything.
Right now I have been able to access my account, just as it was working a few days ago as well.

The worst part...

...about losing a mobile phone is losing all the stored telephone numbers that one builds up over a large period of use. And if you haven't had a backup, like me, given that I never lost of mobile in all the years that I have been using one, in different countries, then the "loss" is even more depressing.
Somehow, in my mental recreation of the events before I realized that the mobile was not in my pocket when I thought it should have been, I have come to the conclusion that it must have slipped out of my pocket.

So now the...

...current Pope's visit to Turkey has ended. I just turned on the TV a few days ago, and there was being shown a live broadcast of the Pope's speech, being delivered in English. And I thought to myself, what an insipid speaker! Eyes down on the paper in front, not even being raised once, the voice drab. Only the German-accented English sounded familiar to me.

I don't know...

...but for many days I wasn't able to access the Blogger beta page to login to my blogging account, neither could I access my blog at http://farhat.blogspot.com. Today, however, both seem to be working.
