A song...

...from my early adolescence is here. Another one I heard during late adolescence is this one.

An article...

...by Benazir Bhutto is here. I am not impressed. She might well be happy at being the first head of government to deliver a baby while in office, but she might not be knowing that most of her countrymen and women were of the view, very rightly, that all she has delivered while in office is a baby.
In the late eighties, I was an adolescent, and used to drool at her sight. All that changed very soon after that.
Now she is just an old hog, running in circles, trying to make a deal with the generals in power in Pakistan that would allow her to return to the country, from where she is a fugitive from justice. The charges against her may well be fabricated, but that shows very well her worth now.

It is interesting...

...to see how the WW2 and its immediate aftermath still has relevance to european and surrounding areas' politics.

I have now...

...finished reading The Da Vinci Code. Initially I considered it devastatingly interesting, though towards the end it was just interesting. But interesting nonetheless.
However, one thing that I find really interesting (again the word) is the depiction of the rituals of the secret societies, whether in books, or films. Well, the secret societies may well exist, but I just can't fathom that those in the secret societies would clandestinely assemble somewhere with masks on their faces, and indulge in some kind of orgy, of course preceded by some kind of chanting.
Why can't secret societies meet somewhere like intelligent men (or women) in some decent place over a cup of tea (or whatever beverage they may fancy)?
