Had a chance...

...to visit Vancouver last week, for a whole week. Beautiful city to visit, specially if most (though not all) of the expenses are paid. Was able to see quite a bit of the city, specially the downtown core, with some bus trips to different parts of the city. Mostly it was cloudy and rainy, though the last day was bright and cheerful. One thing different from Toronto is the number of homeless people in the downtown core, which seems to be a bit larger than in Toronto, but what struck me as different was the propensity of people to active beg for money.

The city of Vancouver is about 4.5 hours flight away from Toronto, which is a lot. This was my first experience in inter-city air travel in Canada, and even in a flight this long, one has to make do with drinks and  crackers, which thankfully are served twice, and not just once.
